2 Video Cards 2 Monitors

Hi, I bought a DIY Combo to build my own computer. When I received it, I realized that it came with 2 video cards which are exactly the same. I am planning on running 2 screens, and each card has 2 DVI outputs.
My questions are:

Should I connect both screens to 1 card and leave the other card unused?
Should I connect one screen to each card?
Does it even make a difference?

If it matters, the cards are:

MSI N450GTS CYCLONE 1GD5/OC GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

A friend of mine mentioned SLI. Something about running both cards as one. If I do that, then how do I hookup the screens?
