Is the NVIDIA geForce 450 GTS compatible with my system?

I'm considering upgrading my graphics card to the Nvidia GeForce 450 GTS, but I don't know if it's compatible with my system. Every where I look I see something different so I'm not sure what to do. I also checked the specs and I don't know how to check the power supply.

Here's the specs:

Model: Compaq Presario PC
Model #: SR5807c
Memory: 3GB
CPU: 2.5GHz AMD Athlon X2 4850e+ Dual Core Processor
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit

  1. As long as you have a PCI-E x16 slot along with adequate PSU,you'll be fine

Your system specs are on this page:

You have a PCIex16 slot for an upgraded video card, but your power supply is only 250 watts. You will need to upgrade to ~450-500 watts for a GTS450.
