Trying to come up with a fair price for a Gateway 1150 CL laptop. A
relative is getting a new laptop and will give me this laptop, not sure
what to offer for it, he is not sure what he wants or what is fair,
anybody have an idea of what these are going for, thanks
It is about 4 years old, new was around 1100 dollars.

A 4 year old laptop, from a relative?
What he should expect is a "Thank you," after giving it
to you for nothing!

It doesn't matter how much he bought it.
It's amazingly simple.
Just go into eBay and see how much people have been willing to pay for
it.

Check eBay.

4 years ago an $1100 laptop was pretty bottom-of-the-line, maybe a
hundred bucks or two if it's in good shape. What are the specs on it,
and what OS is it running? If it's running (say) WinME, I'd knock off
$100 from the number above.
