Should I add AC5 to stock heatsink that has Thermal Compound already applied?

Hello, I'm wondering if I should apply Artic Silver 5 to the stock i5 2500k heatsink/fan that already has thermal compound on it? Should I just add a dab and stack them, or would it just be best to remove stock compound and apply nothing but AC5?
