HELP best help for my PC

Hello,playing BC2 getting owned help best video card for my system:motherboard=MSI K9N4 SLI-F
CPU=AMD64X2 6000+ Brisbane 3.1GHz 89w
RAM=Wintec Ampx 4096mb PC6400 ddr2
video card=XFX GT240 1GB DDR3 128bit 96 stream Processors
PSU= 450w with 22amp 12v rail
need help i think i need help in video card area just trying to max out perfomace with current system oh yeah OS=windows 7 32bit

from what i understand you want to max out the graphical settings on that game. The current graphics card you have is not very powerful. I would suggest upgrading your graphics card to one of the new models. GTX 560, GTX 570, ATI 6850, ATI 6870. Also you could do with a CPU upgrade to, have a look at the quad core AMD PHENOM II 955.

well thx for the response can PSU handle those cards and cant afford to change motherboard to upgrade the cpu unless it is am2 socket and will nwork with current system

i dont think its a good idea for an upgrade..If you wanted to its better to upgrade your entire system.

upgrade entire system is still an upgrade lol. But yes you will have to upgrade the psu,video card and motherboard unless your motherboard is AM2+ which supports Phenom II quads depending on the cpu you choose of course.

So basically you are looking at a big upgrade of most components

with current set up what would be the best video card for my system. And motherboard is not am2+. I think i can supply power to card that only needs 1X6pin power connection. Yes i would love to upgrade everthing but the way things are now cant afford that. Thats why i want max out the full potiential of my current set up this was my first build ever for the noob i am 6years ago. So i think best place get the full potential of this set is to go with a video card ?

yes you are right i beleive i got the best cpu for this board i can get

Yes if thats the case then upgrading the video card will be your best option. If you have spare molex connectors on your psu, you could always buy a PCI-E power adapter so you can have two PCI-E power cables to give you more choice.

Obviously you cant go over the top on the GPU such as a 6970 because you will require other upgrades.

i need to stay with in the 22amp 12v rail right. i only have 2 molex conn avail

ok i need to know which video card is the best match for my system with 22amp 12v rail psu and one with new psu for max performance with current system this is my problem so many choices. what is the sign of a better card :128bit 256 bit or higher or the processing cores like 336, 382,192, Im looking for the best of both these worlds in the video card and combination of to max my performance. this is my last upgrade for current system there are so many choices i need help in this. and i do perfer nivida.

You can then see which card outperforms which. And then research each card you are looking at to see if your psu will power it.

i have looked at the chart but doesnt tell what the best fit is for my cofiguration yes would get top of the line but wont work with my current system
