Hi everyone! I have an old IBM Thinkpad 365XD (bought in South Korea) and it used to have the Korean version of Win95 and also Win98 installed. Specs include a Pentium 133/1.3 Gig HD/40 megs RAM installed.
I decided to format the hard drive because I wanted to install the U.S. English version of Win95 and had no use for the old files, which were infected with a virus.
The tech I consulted said he removed all the viruses and told me I could go ahead with the installation.
I inserted my old Win95 bootdisk as well as my Win95 CD and proceeded. Everything was going fine until Win95 began to search for all installed hardware and then I would see a line across the TFT screen and the screen would fade into white. The screen would just glow white, and I would restart the computer and do the process all over again. But the result would be the same. A white screen.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Could the problem be because of hardware incompatibilities? My internal modem may not be Win95 compatible because it is a new one, but I have the drivers in a diskette.
Any help will surely be appreciated!
