Anybody have parts for sale that can be used in a Gateway 9500 laptop?
I am looking for a working battery and an LCD screen.
My LCD screen has a line across it near the bottom. Does anyone know
if that is an LCD problem or a wire / connector that needs replacing.
How can one tell?

For parts: Ebay.com is a good source if you can get the parts at a reasonable
price. Check the shipping costs and be careful not to overbid.

LCD: If the lines don't show on an external monitor it generally means replacing
the LCD, if the lines show then it's the display card assuming it's not built
into the mother board.
There are usually two batteries in a laptop: the main external battery is a no
brainer; the internal battery used to hold the BIOS settings may be a PITA.
