Purchased samsung 830 ssd is it worth upgrading to a 6gb mobo

Had issues not resolved with windows 7 and needed to reformat. Held off reformat till I could afford the new samsung 830 128gb ssd. Being a professional photographer I depend on a fast, stable machine. Taking advantage of my slow season, I am trying to get this machine running smooth. Currently less than halfway through reinstalling software and would like to know if it is worth upgrading the motherboard to sata 3 before I get comfy setting everything up. This machine is used exclusively for photoshop, lightroom, and uploading photos.

  1. No. Keep your old board. Sata 3.0 ssd's aren't that much faster in sata 2.0 mode. And changing boards may require a new windows coa, unless you've graduated to a regular version of windows.
