5650 .. but you're talking about pretty low end think the 5650 is a stock low end civic and the 425 a stock low end camry ... sure one might be a little faster but you mostly get em cause they do the job nto to drag race em :D

I hate when users constantly feel the need to compare computer parts with different model cars. The 5650 is more then able to game, not at 1920x1080 but easily at 1280x720 with some decent settings and framerate.

I'm sorry my thought process does not work in the way that you find acceptable?

i was nto meaning to imply that either would not work in the situation. i was basically trying to conver that while neither is high end and not to expect 5970 or 580 performance out of either one ;they still would get the job done and the 5650 is faster its not be a large margin but does win

you're right for low res gaming either would work, and the 5650 would have the edge over the 425

No, your thought process has trouble constructing sentences which makes it a bit hard to read and understand, "sure one might be a little faster but you mostly get em cause they do the job nto to drag race em :D "
Which would imply that the laptop would be incapable of gaming, when it can easily handle most games at 1280x720/1440x900 and at mid-high settings.

that to, i'm great with numbers and bad with words :(

i meant to have the "cause they do the job" imply that while not super fast they still work.

liek a civic or camry (sorry i knwo you hate the car metaphore but i wanted to elaborate) both are good cars just not exotics, however they are also reliable and efficient good modes of transportation

ie

they both aren't amazing btu they'll work for what ya need em to do , the 5650 doign it a little better

I meant to say that both cards are decent laptops that balance between longer battery life/mid-high end gaming/and the 5650 is slightly faster, well worth the small amount of money to go from a 425 to a 5650.

Fix'd :D

I think for 500 bucks they are both a pretty good deal, and for the amount of money I doubt anyone would expect a fantastic gaming laptop.

I would go with the HD 5650 as my first choice. :)
