Hey all i have an old computer at home running GA-6WMM7 1.5 Rev mother board with currently a celeron 466 processor.

Now i have laying bout a 850 mhz celeron 100 mhz bus speed.

Is there anyway i can make these compatibility there the same socket and the mother board supports 100mhz bus but cannot get it to boot with it.

Theres lots more jumps i can adjust i think to play with settings even thou not fitted the pads are there to solder.

The celeron 850 mhz 128 100 proccessor was not about when the motherboard was made thats the only reason i can think its not working since motherboard has supporting specifications but surely i can make it work somehow with a bit of know how :).

Cheers for any advice or experince with this old motherboard.
Tom

yea its the same socket im starting to think its faulty i have updated bios as well but th computer does nothing as in if you take the cpu out and turn the computer on with out a cpu in it it does the same thing as with the 850 cpu in so i think its faulty it would atleast flag unreconized cpu or something otherwise i would of thought ??
