i looking to but either a amd 1055t or i7 920.
which one should i get. also im not overclocking but doing alot of gaming.

i7 920 with triple channel mem or if you can afford it pick up a Sandybridge i5 2500.

Really depends as everyone and i mean everyone stating again and again and again that the i5 2500k is the way to go.Why?
More upgrade paths, more newer technology, better overclockability.

+1 to the 2500 (don't need K if your not going to overclock) I think its cheaper than the 920. AMD 6 core CPUs don't game any better than 4 core ones.

Because they OC sooooo well, but the OP has stated he isn't overclocking so pointless having a k chip.

If you can pick up a 920/950 for cheap with triple channel mem then thats still a nice option IMO.
