First Budget building - $400-450

First time builder.

1. Purpose of computer: Watching HD movies, using multiple applications at once, no photoshop or video editing. NO gaming at all.

2. Budget: $400-450

3. List which parts you have and/or which parts you are considering:

a. CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 - $99 :

b. Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H AM3 - $99

c. GPU: Not needed

d. Hard drive: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" for $54.99

e. Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) for $49.99

f. PSU: Antec EarthWatts EA-500D Green 500W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply for $49.99

g. Case: COOLER MASTER Elite 430 RC-430-KWN1 Black Steel / Plastic Computer Case for $49.99

h: Optic (CD/DVD/Blu-ray): Already have one

i. Monitor (size&resolution): Not needed until I find a great deal for about $150

4. Overclocking: not necessary

The total is $408 including shipping. Should I go for this setup?

That system should be able to do everything you will ask of it. HD video, multiple applications, web browsing, and more.

I dont see any issues with this build. So go for it. :)
