Is this a good setup?

Hello,I am new to building a computer (i am a computer programmer so i know all about computers to a extent) and i was just wanting people that do this all the time opinion on this set up

i5-2500k sandy bridge processor
intel dh67cl atx h67 motherboard
Fractal Design Define XL computer case..

now i need help with the other things (besides ram)

I need a video card and sound card..i do not play pc games AT ALL so i dont need some crazy 3d graphics card just something that would work well on a 32inch monitor and a basic sound card would work to..and also a what watt power supply should i get and does it matter what type? I'm not sure if there are different sizes as far as dimensions goes

any help would be awesome!!
oh also im getting a 1tb hard drive! ..i think thats it?!

  2. Hey thanks for those ! is it really necessary to have such a big video card though? Like i said i have no intentions of playing video games on their just doing web site stuff and programming
  3. if you are getting an H67, the HD3000 built into your 2500K should be plenty for you without a GPU. Onboard sound is also good enough
  4. ok so that means i dont need a video card nor sound card?if so awesome! and also the recommended power supply is that really what i need because there are a bunch on ebay with 500watt for around 20$ My main concern was dimensions and if i dont have a pci video card or anything else added to it besides 1tb hard drive and 8gb ram then a big power supply shouldnt be needed right?
  5. don'tr skimp on the PSU. I'd suggest a 300-350 Antec or Seasonic PSU running around $40. the quality is worth the cost
  6. Ok awesome thanks for the advice is there any article or place you would recommend for steps on building a pc? The last computer I built had 98 on it with ide cables lol so it's been awhile n also don't have to get windows os as a oem or can I just use the regular install disc??
