Personal opinion Gskillz, Kingston makes good memory but is real picky on what you put it on. Plus the price difference. Plus the lifetime warranty with Gskillz not sure what Kingston is.

Why CL11 latency ram cost twice more than CL9 one?

HyperX is Kingston's enthusiast memory brand.

Unless you're an overclocker looking to post the absolute highest benchmark scores, there's no reason to pay the substantial premium for this memory.

CPU: i7-3930K
Purpose: Gaming (current games and future ones), some 3D modeling

For 'Rendering' more GB's of RAM is more beneficial vs (more) higher frequency. Ideally, DDR3-1600 will yield fractionally slower speeds BUT with a much lower ERROR/FAILURE Rate.

As an owner of G.Skill RipJaw Z 2133mhz CL9 ram (on a R4E & SB-E 3930K platform)
The ram is very nice, though i have noticed even using the XMP settings it does get a little picky on settings at 2133 speeds. Its nice seeing it run at 2133 speed but was hardly an improvement in performance over 1600 speed

Hey Veirtimid,

How does that chip run for your 3D modeling? Are you using Autodesk Maya (what year?)

I'm using 16GB of g.skills at cas:7-8-7 1600mhz. Everything runs fine in ultra (BF3).
Also your CPU and other hardware have to be able to run at certain speeds in order to take full advantage of the 2000+mhz.

(I think, it was explained to me a while ago but memory just isnt working well ;) )

What is a good OC program for G.Skill Ripjaws Z? I OC my i7-3930K to 4.6 and 7970 to 1125/1575, all left to do is RAM overclocking.
