CPU Ratio change in H67 Board with non K CPU

I wonder if changing CPU ratio will affect non-K CPU performance in H67 board. I did it actually, and confirmed it had changed from default 31 to 34, which is the max, in BIOS, but when the system was booted, all monitoring program reported only 3.1 GHz. However, in BIOS, the CPU ratio remained to be 34. I know that H67 is not supposed to support overclocking, but since CPU ratio change is possible in BIOS I am just curious if it will work. I'm not particularly an overclocker.

Here is my system:

i5-2400
MSI H67MAE45 B3
Corsair 2 x 4 GB 1333
EVGA GTX 560 Ti 448 core Classified
Antec HCG-620
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
a b à CPUs
a c 716 V Motherboard

No, it won't work and you're best off to leave all the CPU settings as Default (Auto). Even with a K there's absolutely no way to OC an H67.

As jaquith said h67 can't overclock. But when overclocking non k cpus, the multiplier is the highest turbo speed. So it shows 34 for 3.4ghz which is your highest turbo speed.
