Help with new system configuration Tags: Systems Last response: January 31, 2011 11:15 AM in Systems Share jbacon49 January 31, 2011 11:07:32 AM I currently am running an obsolete system, which I have upgraded as far as I can. i.e. new sata 250gb hdd, new sata dvd burner, faster cpu, AGP graphics card and 2 gb ram. I want to build a new system for internet usage but mostly to be able to watch movies on and shortly to connect to my 46" lcd tv. I also added a 22" lcd monitor. I am looking at the following: i5-650/660 Intel cpu Gigabyte GA-H57M-USB3 motherboard Or Asrock H55M Pro G.Skill 4Gb (2x2gb) DDR3 1600 Dual Channel Ram Problems came up when I discovered that both motherboards have been removed from Newegg due to many consumer complaints. I believe that usb3 is probably a must so that I can store movies on an external usb3 hdd without having a transfer speed issue. Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
