What is the cheapest possible SLI or Crossfire build?

I'm not willing to build, I'm just asking for the sake of curiosity and research.

AMD or Intel doesn't matter, the lowest priced proper modern SLI or Crossfire build with new cards like the the GTX 560 Ti and the 6870.

With a good case, cooling, and power supply, an AMD rig will put you around $1000. Intel will be a bit higher...

AMD- based systems will likely have the lower price advantage, given the plethora of $50-$99 mainboards available....

There really isn't a point to build a SLI/CFX build right out of the box, since you're already limiting your GPU performance. You can get a GTX 580 for the price of 2 560s, but still get about the same performance at stock speeds, etc.
