Firmware update disabled my wireless router

Sounds like faulty firmware or a faulty flash. Contact Motorola to either get the old firmware or fix the existing software.

Yeah, I reflashed it with the newer firmware, but that made no difference. I finally heard from Motorola a few days after that, here's what they said.

but once the new firmware is released the old one is took down and not avaiable
any longer.

I immediately replied that was of no use to me and asked if they had any other ideas, but, of course, no reply. Anyway, I just took it back and exchanged it for a new one, unfortunately it had to be for the same thing. I won't be buying anything Motorola anymore.

That's unusual. Most manufacturers keep old firmware on hand, just in case. Ah well, c'est la vie. I've not hand any problems in the past with Motorola, that sounds like you just got a crapp deal. Hopefully the new one will work out.
