More RAM or wait?

I was just wondering if putting another 2g of ram in my computer would do anything for me.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
BIOS: BIOS Date: 02/23/10 09:42:26 Ver: 08.00.14
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 255 Processor (2 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T-M
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5670

It's not that great of a computer and I don't want to just waste money on RAM now if I'm going to go with an awesome build in two years after college. I don't remember what type is in there now (an internet test I did didn't come up with anything, and I don't really feel like opening that comp up right now), but let's assume it's something cheap.

And is the BIOS outdated?

Not much performance wise. Use cpuz to get your ram specs and use a matched pair as close to the other pair as possible (brand/speed).

The ASUS M4N68T-M - only has (2) DIMM slots, so IF you have (1) 4GB stick then get the EXACT same 4GB stick. Generally, it's best to purchase a set of 2x4GB and with your CPU DDR3-1333 2x4GB set.

RAM is cheap, and 64-bit games do benefit from >4GB of RAM; nice read ->,... ; note the 64-bit game on the bottom ;)
