Actually the XFX 850 is better than a HX850.

850HX is based on the Channel Wells DSG platform.
XFX 850 is based on the better Seasonic MD12 platform.

PSU calculator numbers are very conservative and based off Furmark numbers (big debate recently regarding it's accuracy). Didn't notice the 850 was only $10 more on newgg.ca though. Definitely grab it in that case.

First, +1 for thread title; that had me chuckling.

Second, I'm assuming you left out a system case for a good reason? Already have one?

Good processor choice; I like the vid card.

Motherboard is great. The PSU may be overkill, but I understand leaving room for future growth.

Don't need a 850w PSU, even for xfire. Grab a nice 750w. XFX 750 would be best bet. Cheaper than a 750TX after rebate, yet it's better than a 750HX.

Save a few bucks and go with a spinpoint f3 1tb.

RAM is a very good deal actually, though if you have the money, worth spending some more for cas 7 RAM.

Rest is fine, though you don't have a case listed.

Oooh.. nice case! Just wanted to make sure you weren't forgetting the obvious; it would be a shame to have to run those parts on a box!

As far as PSU calculation, have you seen this?
http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html

Shame it doesn't have the 570's yet, but for 2x480s with your other components, it suggested 975 watts.

If you're running SLI 570's, I would recommend 850. You could get by with 750, but it the frequent spiking probably won't be good for it.

XFX 850 is actually a much better quality PSU than the XFX 750

In fact, the 850 is only FOUR DOLLARS MORE than the 750, so why wouldn't you get it anyways?

Yeah, 850W is going to be needed for SLI GTX 570s, you should goo with the Corsair HX850, very good quality and modular. Some people have even remarked that it could have been rated at 1000W, that may be exaggerating a little, but it's still rock solid.
