Subwoofer too close to computer?

I have an HTPC set up, and am moving around the room. In the new configuration, the PC will be about 6" from a large subwoofer (10" Klipsch RW-10D).

It's a fairly high quality sub, so I don't expect the magnetic fields to be a concern, but maybe the vibrations? I never boom the sub (I currently have it set to -10db, and rarely crank the normal volume). But is this still bad?

Would it be ok if I put some sort of foam shielding between the two? Or should i move the sub?

Nah, you should be fine. I have had my sub nexy to my PC, (sometimes touching) for about 7 months now.

Don't think you'll have any problem at all... You could however check you system after a reasonable time to see that everything is still "tight"

The magnetic fields will not effect anything but the vibration could after some time cause problems however you would have to have the volume turned way up for it to do so. (I wouldn’t want to be your neighbor if you do).

Small Magnetic fields have never caused any problems to hardware.
Your subwoofer magnetic field is not enough to even damage anything.
Vibrations also wont cause any damage up to a point.

Your Sub Woofer's magnetic field is not something u shd be worried abt
nothing 'll happen but don't just let the speaker touch da machine and
never worry abt da vibrations either.

Well not trying to scare you, but back in the day I have broken a 20GB hard drive using my speakers.

Then again, I had this planned on purpose, with 2000 watts of subwoofer power maxxed out on the drive at point blank range...

But no I would not worry about your situation.
