I plan on getting the Phenom II 955-975 CPU and was wondering if it's worth it to get the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ cooler if I don't plan on OCing at all, thanks.

Stock fan's are fine if you're not overclocking. Only buy aftermarket fans if you plan on overclocking, or you're just wasting your money. Though, if i were you i'd get the fan anyway because you'll eventually want to overclock :p

It also depends on room temps. My room temps can go to a blazing 36c.So if your in a very hot room and plan on doing alot of intensive cpu work. You better go for it.

CPU's and their stock coolers are designed to run at typical operating ambient temperatures between 40 and 100F.

I would get it, because even if you don't overclock this CPU, you'll eventually buy a cpu and WANT to overclock it, and you'll have that awesome fan! So buy it while you still have the money! :)
