My machine runs on
AMD Athlon XP 2400 ~2.0Ghz with 2GB DDR memory and
MS Windows XP prof SP3.
My mobo is - Asus A7V8X-LA (Kelut).
(500GB SATA-I HDD, moserbaer DVD-R DL)

I want a DX9 ATI grafix card with 128-bit interface and 250MB or 512MB core memory (DDR1,2,3,4,5, any)

The best AGP card you should bother with is the HD4650.

I doubt you can find it, but another option is the Gainward Golden Sample 7800GS+ Bliss, which has a 7900GT chip. Unfortunately, I just e-waste recycled a perfectly good one.
