My laptop cant keep wifi connection

Hello,
my new laptop connects to wifi when i'm beside router but falls off when i'm in another part of the house. Sometimes it stays for a while.....then poof.

Most wireless routers use an omni-directional antenna and therefore work best when located in the middle of the house, and elevated a couple feet off the floor w/ no immediate obstructions. If you must keep the router in some corner of the house, you might consider installing a directional antenna (you can even try various DIY solutions that cost almost nothing, like the Windsurfer), or consider supplementing your network w/ a wireless repeater.
