XPS 400 amber light on and not booting

Hello,
I have a steady amber light on and the machine will not boot I can hear the hard running but nothing
any Ideas?

Welcome to the forums!

Strip the motherboard down to only cpu, power and beeper.
Test for beeps.
No beeps, bad motherboard.
Add components and check for beeps.
When it stops beeping, you found your problem.

Yep it's the motherboard

Might as well go buy a new computer It's just money right?
