I'm putting together a HTPC trying to include as many spare parts as I have around. The question I'm having is in connection with the Motherboard and CPU that I've chosen.

Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131786
I notice under "Onboard Video Chipset" it says None.
However, there are HDMI, VGA, and DVI ports on the motherboard.

CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115090

Now the CPU has the Intel HD Graphics 3000

If I plug that CPU into that Motherboard will I have graphics? The "Onboard Video Chipset = None" is what's confusing me.

Thanks for your time!

Solution
Yes it has.

As it says:

Features
UEFI BIOS (EZ Mode) - Flexible & Easy BIOS Interface

LucidLogix Virtu (Universal Switchable Graphics) - Auto Switching between Integrated Graphics and NVIDIA/AMD Cards

Intel Smart Response Technology - SSD Speed with HDD Capacity

GPU Boost - Push the Limits with iGPU Level Up!

True USB 3.0 & SATA 6Gb/s Support - fully unleash performance

MemOK! - Any Memory is A-OK!

ok, thanks... I was seeing several things on the page that sounded like it DID have graphics and 1 thing that said No. In my experience that means NO but thanks for clarifying.

Thanks kinggraves, I hadn't thought to compare but Llano looks like it comes off about 3 times faster for most games based on this test:
http://pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/AMD-3850-Llano-Desktop-Processor-Review-Can-AMD-compete-Sandy-Bridge/Radeon-H

Can anyone think of a drawback to using, this motherboard:
http://www.amazon.com/Asus-F1A75-M-Desktop-Motherboard-CrossFireX/dp/B00681PTYW
and this CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103942
in comparison to the combo I posted earlier?

This PC is going to be mainly for watching movies and checking email with some 2d gaming thrown in.

For your needs, it should suit you fine. There's several combos on newegg with motherboards, I believe this is the one from Amazon.

You also want 1600 mhz memory if possible

The bundle is nice, saves some $, and the 1600Mhz memory is about the only thing I actually have already. Thanks again for pointing that out, I think that's the way I'll go
