i have read many times about PhysX-mod-1.04ff
read this :
http://physxinfo.com/news/3334/new-hybrid-physx-mod-1-0...
but is any one real test it and have a real results !!
please if any one try it and got benefits that can tell me exactly what is the requirements to do this patch
i mean my main question what motherboard could i use :
1- any board that have tow pci express regardless what it is support SLI or CROSS FIRE X
2- any board that have tow pci express and support SLI
3- any board that have tow pci express and support CROSS FIRE X
because my board doesn't have tow pci express ( i have p45 8D memory lover)
and i have an extra unused board p5kpl/1600 that support CROSS FIRE X so can i use it ( i don't want t to change to p5kpl/1600 before i am sure that the patch is really have benefits and tested from any one )
i have 5970 to use as primary and 9800gtx as physics card (i am using windows 7 64bit )
so please any one explain what i have to do .....

I've done it, and it worked. I used my 2nd card to display my 2nd monitor too (it is required to have a monitor plugged into the physX card, or there is a dummy you can make).

All you need is a board with 2 PCIe slots. If you have 3, you can even Crossfire and have the physX card in the last spot. Since the physX card is not in SLI configuration, it does not matter one bit if the board supports crossfireX or SLI.

Keep in mind, a PhysX card does not boost physics in most games. The only games PhysX will help you with is a game that was programmed to utilize GPU accelerated PhysX. There are a total of about 20 games that will give you these benefits. If you do not own these games, it won't do anything for you.

This is a guide I've followed: http://www.overclock.net/graphics-cards-general/633137-...

I can't remember if this one told you to install the drivers in safe mode or not, but I had to in order for it to work.

so you mean just with physics game like mafia 2 ...
and i will not have any benefits with other games and the 9800gtx will not work with them

Correct. I do believe Mafia 2 is one of those games with GPU accelerated physx. So is UT3, Sacred 2 and Batman AA.

If you play games like Crysis, Dragon age, Farcry 2 and so on. The physX does not help you. Keep in mind, just because a game is listed as using PhysX, does not usually mean it uses GPU accelerated PhysX. That list is much smaller.

If you already own the card, and you do play one of these GPU accelerated PhysX games, I'd recommend putting it in. If you do not play any of those games, I wouldn't.

I also would not purchase a PhysX game just because it has PhysX. It's just another partical effects generator and not spectacular enough to buy a game because of it's physics. I'd base my game choices off what you like and reviews.

Old news. This has been covered in several THG articles and there's thousands of peeps doing it.

PhysX is kind alike sex ..... until you've done it, it doesn't seem like all that bigga thing :)

Well, I have used it, and I wouldn't go buying a game because it has PhysX. It isn't good enough to play a game because of it. In fact, sometimes those effects were annoying to me as it is sometimes over done, or done just for the sake of doing it.

But ya, decide for yourself. I still recommend buying games based on your likes and dislikes, not due to physX.
