Hey guys, I'm putting together a new gaming computer and I need your advice about which motherboard to get. I feel a little lost when it comes to motherboards and what I should be looking for price wise. My current build is based round an Intel i5 2500K which I plan to overclock to 4.5gHz. Here's my current build so far:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K overclocked to 4.5gHz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 560ti (Eventually will SLI)
PSU: 750w (could use suggestions here as well)
RAM: 8GB of Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 1600mHz (Eventually will go to 16GB)

I'm lost on the motherboard. Any suggestions would be great!

Also check out Tom's P67 and Z68 reviews:

These should all overclock very well and meet your needs. I think it would come down to what extras are you looking for on the board, i.e., USB3, SATA6, Bluetooth, etc.

I, too, am looking at motherboards for the i5 2500k. In particular, the Asus P8P67 Pro you have listed above, and was wondering.... what is the major difference between that and, for example, the Maximus you also listed? Motherboards are confusing to me, and I'm curious as to why the big price difference. For MMO gaming, would the P8P67 suffice? My video card is an XFX Radeon 6750. I currently have a PSU of 550w (will need advice on this too). I am upgrading from a Biostar TP45HP equipped with a Core 2 Duo

EDIT: ok, I thought I was looking at the P8P67... (I saved my findings in a wish list) Even so, what's the difference?

Right. I'm a chick. I could care less anyways. I don't like this site because of all the stupid disrespectful people that don't seem to understand what a "forum" is! I'll get my answers elsewhere. I always do

Good and when you get there, make sure you read their forum rules before you hijack a thread and use vulgar language at someone who simply asked you not to hijack threads. When you hijack a thread you piss off the original poster and he has to read through all your questions and stuff to weed through and find answers to the questions he asked.

You could have at least appologized to him for hijacking his thread. Oh wait, your a chick, none of the rules apply. :sarcastic:

You're the disrespectful guy here.Insulting isn't allowed in forums like Tom's. Hope you enjoy browsing other forums.

Since the OP got his answer,I'm locking this thread.
