I have a lenovo w701 laptop with a samsung 214t monitor running windows 7 professional with a nvidia quatro FX2800 1GB video card.
During boot up the only way I can get the monitor to display is by pressing the menu key on the monitor.
The screen then comes up.
Is there any way to have the screen display normally during boot up without doing this? I had no problems with the monitor under windows xp professional.

I think it has more to do with how Nvidia does things than what version of windows it is. Does windows recognize the monitor as a Samsung 214t or as a generic monitor? You could try using the right inf file for the monitor if not already.
