i have an issue where my built-in webcam is not showing up under imaging device or not even registering on my computer so i need help asap

Did it come with a driver?

What OS are you running and what is the model for the webcam?

If you are running something as recent was Windows 7 it should automatically detect it. But if not you may either have to manually install the driver (as mosox mentions) from the CD, or from the website of the manufacturer.

Or try a generic webcam driver.
