hi!
i´m goingto buy a gtx 460 graphics card...but i´m not sure what to chose. so please help me decide !
i have this options ( i thought these are the best options):

Gainward GeForce GTX460 2GB : cuda cores 336, Gfx/proc clock: 700/1400, 2Gb GDDR5, 3600Mhz, 256 bits

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX460 Super Overclock : cuda cores 336, Gfx/proc clock: 816/1630, 1Gb GDDR5, 4000Mhz, 256 bits

as u can see i don´t know what to chose: higher Gfx/proc clock or higher ramm. what is more important?

yeah i did go over the oc one too, 2gb wont be needed.
But if you are willing to spend $ 350 there are more performing cards out there .
Gtx 470, 6870... Check newegg for prices ..

you could easily get a 470 for 300

you seem to liek gigabyte so here's a good 470

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125338

the 570's are abotu to be release though and those will likely be in the 350 range, so if you're willing to wait till december 7th for release info then we'll know for sure

expect vendor'sd to be sellign within a few weeks :D worth the wait unless you NEED it right now

There is only one game out there that can use that much memory and that is GTA IV, it will such up every KB.MB, and even GB that you give it. Especially at higher settings and before the GTX 4xx series and the Radeon 5k one had to pony up for a 2GB GTX285 just to play the game with decent settings and refresh rate at 1920x1080. Even then the game sucked up roughly 1.8 gb of vram. However there isn't any others that can do that so 1GB is just fine. Most games barely use more than 512mb and even then still go for the 1GB due to the extra bandwidth and L2 cache.

http://www.techpowerup.com/135692/GeForce-GTX-570-Pricing-Surfaces.html

estimated price point seems to be 350 to 400 most seem to agree about 4370, but thats intro, it'll go down after the initial boom of sales and after the 69xx ati cards come out

as for places to get euro components that i can't answer as i have no experience or clue, I'm sorry, but we have alot of euro users i am sure one will be able to recommend a good vendor

The Gigabyte GTX 460 Superoverclock is an excellent card with a very quiet Windforce II cooler and a custom PCB. It also comes with a very high factory overclock to make it one of the fastest GTX 460's. Here's a review...

Quote:
"From the top of my head I can tell you that this was GeForce GTX 460 card number eighteen that we have tested to date. The overall baseline performance of the GeForce GTX 460 is of course commendable, this particular SOC card comes factory overclocked a good chunk higher, making it the fastest GTX 460 we actually tested. The card as tested today performs roughly at GTX 470 level, and that means it is in fact competing with the Radeon 6850 and sometimes even the 6870."

"It doesn't stop there though, you can really benefit from a manual overclock as well thanks to the cooler. 850 MHz is just not an issue either and thanks to the very silent WindForce 2X cooler the temperatures remain very much under control."

yes, I only ships to us, It would be good to ship international, all my products would have been from newegg then.. ;)

Shipping overseas costs a fortune and only sold items to Euro buyers. Shipping to Italy is like shipping to New York but Eastern Europe is out rages -.- perhaps you are out of luck and wont get the best for your funny money euros before the EU goes like the US down the drain :/

You might have little choice but to wait a little longer while looking for what is around in your part of the world for the best deal. Be sure to save a little more cash along the way and the second hand market sometimes has a good deal or two if you know how to shop.

oh.. No sorry mate, am not in Eu..
$285 is expensive for a gtx 460... Keep looking /
Btw, you do not necessarily need to buy an oced card, you can easily oc by yourself. It costs more when factory oced.

yeah, but the diference is not that much , and i´m not that good at oc-ing
i´m trying to do that with my actual card - POV 9800 gtx+ 1Gb, and i dont like how it works.
i´m using MSI Afterburner...
i had this card working with COD MW2 at max resolution perfect....but now for Black Ops it´s a lil old,and theres more games coming up...
and this card won´t be good enough....
i want the GTX 460 because i hope that it will be enough for the next year, and i´m gonna buy another one to go SLI.

i think that will be enough for a good while. CPU is ok atm...might buy some more RAMM....

guess i´m gonna have to buy new PC soon...

yes, SLI capable
What are your current specs?
and psu ?
470 is faster than 460 but is not as efficient, also OCed 460 performs nearly at par to a 470.

I see.
Alright, your cpu wont bottleneck any off those cards, but a mild oc might be needed.
As for psu , is it a quality unit ?
I really dont know anything about nox.. Psu quality and wattage is very important to handle most modern cards.

I guess its fine, then you are good to go with any of those cards..
Depending on your budget. and at what res you play at ? for 1080 P, any of these cards will, do, but 470 giving you better performance..
