Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has a readily available list of useful programs/system tweaks after I complete my build? I noticed the 'Testing' section here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/274745-31-step-step-guide-building has some.

However, is this list up to date? I am finishing my build over the next couple of days and want to setup the machine properly the first time. Any suggestions are super useful!

Thanks,
Adam

Use the guide it is up to date enough, not much has changed in terms of building.

So do you mean in general useful programs or useful for benchmarking and overclocking because Proximon's list is good for benchmarking and overclocking programs.

General (arranged by order of installation):
Drivers
Microsoft Security Essentials (or other security suite)
Malwarebytes anti-malware
superanti-spyware
Secunia PSI
CCleaner
Opera (my favorite web browser keep IE as there are some compatibility issues)
Now Proximon's list add:
MSI afterburner (works on not just MSI cards)
LinX
OCCT
then install games, word processor, and photo editor/manager, and video editor, and media player of choice
