Hi guys.
My system is:
CPU: AMD 965 BE
MB: MSI-890GXM-G65
GPU: NVidia GTX 460
HDD: 1 x 500gb seagate & 1 x 1tb samsung
RAM: 2 x Corsair CMX4GX3M1A1600C9 XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600MHz
DVD ROM.
I've tried various temp monitors, and I'm currently using coretemp. My idle temps are between 48°C and 56°C. I study architecture, so I have to do a lot of rendering on max, thus my system is under load quite often.
My temps when under load is after 3 minutes are 70°C and when rendering for more than 10 minutes, it climbs even more.
I have a stock cooler and a well ventilated case. (http://www.ikonik.com/ENs/EN2.php) I installed 120mm fans: 1 x front; 2 x side; 1 x back; none on the top.
I have applied new cpu cooler but the temp went down 5°C (this is the temps I gave). I was looking at buying the Zalman CNPS9300 AT CPU Cooler (http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/product_info.php?products_id=15947), which is garuanteed to drop the temp by 10°C, but its very peculiar that the cpu run that hot anyway.
I have downloaded the newest bios updates and installed them. After installation and when restarted, the bios displays a message which says checksum bad. All I do then is to go into the bios and set the ram frequency to 1:4 as to get the 1600MHz instead of the 1066 it automatically assigns.
Any ideas?
