Hello im having trouble with my friends ram, he has a dell xps 410. he originally only had two gbs of ram and wanted more. so i suggested these, same as what crucial and kingston suggested just more memory.

Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2E6K2/4G

they said either DDR2 PC2-5300 or DDR2 PC2-6400 with a maximum of 4 gbs

How ever when the ram is installed the computer makes a loud beeping noise, like the no ram error beep. we tried in different configurations, i then just tried using one stick to see if four gbs was to much and they both didnt work alone. not sure if they are bad ram or if , most likely, its the wrong ram. but not sure how since crucial and kingston recommended them. orderd off new egg
