Status Bar Customization

I just dowloaded Internet Explorer 9. There's no longer a green bar on the bottom left corner to let you know about the status of your next webpage browsing download. I can't figure out how to add this green bar to the Status Bar at the bottom of the browsing window. How do I accomplish this?
