Integrated graphics

Was going to buy a cheap mobo for sis pc. The mobo in question is ASUS P5G41T-M LX. It has intergrated graphics and PCIe slot, just curious if the intergrated graphics would still somehow run in the background and share memory even when I use the PCIe slot. Silly question I know, i would assume not but rather get confirmation here, don't want it sharing memory if I'm not using it. Thanks.

It shouldn't, but your graphics card will need address space - which could cause the same result if using a 32-bit OS.
