Which phenom x4 to choose???

my friend says phenom 2 x4 is a good bet!!!!! but which one to go for?????? im so confused plz help!!! i heard phenom 2 x4 965 is best in quad core???? also tell me a basic board that is good with it. plz specify atleast two three models coz in india u wont find much!!!! i wish id stay back in chicago!!!!

Basically any AM3 board would be fine. I would get the Black edition of the 955 3.2GHz and overclock it. You can probably find it at a great price.

Need more details on what you are looking for. Looking for latest and greatest? for gaming? ATX or M-ATX?

Yes the i3 2100 is better than the Phenom 955 in Gaming.

No, I say that for $230 you can buy an i5-2500K that's much better that any AMD CPU, even, a six core like 1090T or 1100T. Even for $199.99 you can get an i5-750 that's much better that X4 955, but the i5-750 now isn't a good idea I think.
