ASRock z68 Extreme3 Gen3 audio issues

I'm very new to computers and just built my first computer. With that said, the onboard audio doesn't seem to work. However, I have my speakers plugged and and they are working fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the issue may be?

I think this is going to be one of those "click around until it works" jobs.
Have you selected the right output? Search "sound" and pick the Control Panel option. See what kind of settings you have going.
Also, maybe try searching "Find and fix audio playback".
