Upgrade from integrated gc to independent gc

my specs:AMD Athlon 64 X2 245 2.9 GHz
emx 785g-fxn (mobo)
2gb ram

my options are:
palit 8800gt 512 mb
sparkle 8800gt 512 mb
palit 9500 gt
palit gt 220
radeon hd 4870 1 gb

what would be best for me..

this are the only cards sold in my area and are within my budget..

  1. Radeon HD 4870 is the best from the list. How many Watts does your PSU have? You can check it by opening your case and looking at the label of the PSU. The HD 4870 requires a minimum of 500 W PSU and two 6-pin power connectors from the PSU.
    If you only have a 300 W PSU, then the best and only option would be a GT 220. The 8800 GT needs a PSU of 400 W with one 6-pin and one 8-pin power connectors. The 9500 GT is worse than a GT 220, so don't buy it at any cost!
  2. OF course HD4870 is the best from those options above. But are you sure your PSU can handle that card?
    What is your PSU? brand? model? We need more detail...

    considering i would buy 4870..

    I think any 500W PSU should have those two 6-pin power connectors, but before you buy, simply ask the shopper if the PSU you are buying has them :)
