what is the use of the misc folder on the cf card and how do you use
it ?

I just deleted the entire folder from my G3 CF card. Didn't seem to make
a difference.
But then there was also another CANONMSC folder (if I remember right)
which I think stored data about which photos in which folders were
downloaded and which were not (through the camera).
