AM3 socket CPU upgrade

I have a AM3 socket that currently runs a Phenom II x4 3.3GHz, will the M2N78-LA (Violet) motherboard support the Phenom II x6 3.0GHz processor?

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

If I'm right, you have a pre-build rig or Pegatron mobo right? That mobo doesn't support the X6.

I'm pretty sure that 95w cpu's is the limit for that mobo so your answer is no.
