Hello,
I am operating on VISTA. My drive will read and play DVD's, but NOTHING for CD's...can't install from CD's, listen to music or do anything with CD's. any suggestions?

It can't read from CDs in other words? Double-check its connections to your mobo, and failing that, try it on another computer.
