Need help choosing a new graphics card

Here are my computer specs:
AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core 5000+ 2.6ghz
2GB memory installed(getting 2GB more soon)
windows 7 32bit OS
OEM motherboard HP pavillion m7750n
1 PCIe slot
PSU 300W (upgrading to 550W soon)
Nvida Geforce 6150 on board
Will a gtx 260 to GTX 465 work on my system? or could i go with ATI equivalent?
Planning on playing wow cataclysm on max settings and other high end graphics rpgs

With your upgraded PSU, you should look at a GTX 460, not a GTX 465. WOW Cataclysm favors Nvidia cards. Check out this article from Tom's Hardware showing how various cards and CPU's perform in WOW Cataclysm:

I believe a 460 is a great choice but you will be bottlenecking it with that CPU.

I don't think it would fit,but i'll let everyone else decide

ok i bought the gtx 460 and it looks like it will fit. II m waiting to install it once i get my new PSU

Yeah, it's not a very large card; shorter than a microATX motherboard so it should fit unless there is something odd going on with the case.
The issue is your CPU which is bit weak by today's standards. It will do alright still in most games but it is going to struggle in the more CPU intensive titles. You can't really upgrade the CPU without replacing the motherboard btw.

It is basicly a Medica based PC i used to have one.Yes it does look like you will need a new mobo if you decide to upgrade to a better prossesor.

It only comes with the prossesor chip no fan so you will have to use your old one or buy a new one.

I personally like Phenom's over Athalon's but this is a better deal..
Comes with fan and the mobo's memory is DDR3

Just an FYI you would have to buy a fan/heatsink for the first combo and new ram for the second.
