Colored shadows & black areas

Hello, Graphics problem. I have an ATI Radeon 5870 graphics card that I plug into a Dell 2309W monitor through an HDMI cable. I have noticed that on some games, specifically Assasin's creed 2 and lord of the rings online, I get green and red pigmentation in areas that should be black or shaded in the games. Most of the time, this is when I turn the character's viewpoint, and it auto corrects after a moment. I also notice similar color ghosting on game start up screens with black backgrounds around the proper images that are colored correctly. I'm trying to figure out whether its the card, monitor, cable or some setting.

If the card is OC'ed then revert it to stock and test again.

Try the latest driver form AMD see if it helps.
