I have to keep restarting my MAC to access the internet

I have been having issues with my search engines on my MAC. I have to restart the computer every so often in order for it to continue working. Then it works for a while and then I have to start all over again.
Occasionally I can not even connect to the internet. This is my computer info:
Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 3.06 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: IM101.00CC.B00
SMC Version (system): 1.52f9

Any help will be greatly appreciated! I am a student as is my husband and our 5 children...we can not afford to not be connected.

More about restarting access internet
  1. Is this a laptop or tower? I really have no experience with MAC but I will do some homework for you. Let me know. If it is a tower I'm sure there must be a was to reset CMOS settings to help push this bug out of the way.
  2. I found this article. It seems this is a rare problem but I hope this helps. If not we can keep troubleshooting. http://www.brighthub.com/computing/mac-platform/articles/2309.aspx
