RAM:G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB DDR3 1600 PC3 12800 ($105)
HDD: Seagate 500Gb(have)
Optical Drive: Sony Dual-layer(have)


I have build a few simple PC's for others before, this one is to replace my much outdated Gateway Laptop. I need advice on what Cooler I should get and the best Graphics Card/s. Also is anything incompatible and/or have I left anything out. Any other suggestions?

  1. April is so far away, anything recommended now would have a pretty good chance of being incorrect. The way memory has been dropping, that is probably way overpriced, and most likely will not be available in 3 months. Also, if you buy the parts now, and have no way to test them, you will not be able to return them if they are duds.
  2. Also, nvidia is releasing a gtx 590 soon. Keep an eye on that.

    You know, even tho I have a SB build running stably, I am already eyeing Ivy Bridge. By April, SB is too old for me.
