Hey guys! Im new yo this website but today i just spent the whole day trying to learn builts and stuff for gaming desktops. I know how to do a bunch of stuff in the computer but i have no idea what the stuff outside it are for and which are best. I really really need help plz

I want a desktop for around 1000$ us dolars ( not including monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers) . All i want the desktop is for world of warcraft. I want to be able to play World of warcraft Cataclysm on ultra high settings with no lag at all ( 40 - whatever fps is awesome) Ive been in love with this tower the HAF 222.

Can someone take their time and make a nice 1000 dollar built for wow ultra high cataclysm graphics no lag at all i would appreciate it ALOT! :)  And i just ask for one thing , please pick a nice case that looks really hot like the HAF 222 if you can built one with the HAF 222 it would be great.... Can you guys help plzzzzzzzzz?

Also i Do not play any other games in the computer i only play wow cataclysm end game raiding so need desktop for cataclysm raiding and i dont mind if the price goes 100 or 200 dolars over 1k only if its really needed or sugested.

The max i would do is go to youtube while playing wow otherwise only wow

You mean HAF 922? That is a really nice case. There are lot's of questions - like what parts do you already have? What kind of monitors are you going to use - does the $1000 include a monitor? Hey, fill this form out, and someone here will give you a very nice recommendation. You probably do not even have to spend that much money to get what you want.

Hey thanks for answering so quick! here i hope this helps

Approximate Purchase Date: Anytime I cant wait though :p

Budget Range: 1200 dollars not including accessories ( monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: World of warcraft , surfind the net, youtube.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com or bestbuy.com

Country of Origin: New york US

Parts Preferences: I dont have any preferences as long as i have no lag and the laptop is hawt like the HAF 922

Overclocking: Maybe/ Sure?

SLI or Crossfire: I dont know what those are

Monitor Resolution: If you guys could select a good monitor ( HD) with the built it would be great :)

Additional Comments: I would like a nice hawt looking case with lights ( red, blue, etc) and that can run wow cataclysm raids with fine fps ( 40-60) I like the HAF cases or even then 922

I currently am starting fresh all i have is the World of warcraft headset, Wow mouse and logitech gaming keyboard but if you guys could include a HD good audio card would be nice :)

Please make sure you guys dont build a desktop for 1000$ that can run 3 world of warcraft windows at the same time... :)  All i want is a desktop that can run wow on ultra with 40-60 fps in raids if i can get that for cheap i would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy

My pleasure, ya provided enuff info in ya 1st post that I don't need the form :) . But ya listed two prices, $1,000 and $1,200. Here's the $1,200 build.

Case - $100 - Coolermaster HAF-922 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Case Fans - Later - CM Red 200 mm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
PSU - $100 - XFX Black Edition 750 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
MoBo - $395 - ASUS P8P67 Pro http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...
CPU - incl above - Intel Core i5-2500K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Cooler - $40 - Scythe SCMG 2100 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
TIM - $6 - Shin Etsu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
RAM - $109 - (2 x 4GB) Corsair CAS 9 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
GFX - $250 - Asus GTX 560 Ti http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
GFX - Later - Same
HD - $55 - Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 rpm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
SSD - $105 - OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 60GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
DVD Writer - $22 - Asus 24X DRW-24B3L w/ LS http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

That's $1,182

Note that the build is based upon the new Sandy Bridge CPU's. I know ya don't wanna wait but there was a design flaw in hte chipset and it's gonna take about 2 months till new parts are back in the channel.

The build has stuff marked "later" as you can add those when you are ready to add a 2nd GFX card. The case and PSU are sized for a 2nd GFX card to be adde dlater on so as to extend the life of the system. The cooler will get you some serious overclocks.

If ya must build now ..... substitute

MoBo $225 Asus Sabertooth http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
CPU - $209 - i5-760 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

That adds $34 for a new total of $1,216

If ya gotta drop closer to that $1,000 budget ... drop the SSD and the cooler / TIM which puts the 1155 based build to $1,031 and the 1156 build at $1,065

Why_Me's build is superb. However, you could change the 965 for a 955-since the multiplier is unlocked and they're both the C3 revision, it's the same processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This one saves you $10 plus a $10 gift card. You WOULD have to enter your bios and set the multiplier though.

Also, you could get the Antec 300 Illusion case and save another $10. But I don't know how this $30 gets you a better graphics card, so nevermind. And besides, I don't know if the Antec 300 Illusion fits larger graphics cards.

I'm also looking to build a WoW computer that will play raids with none/minimum lag. It's not a big deal to me spending tons of cash having it perfect where you won't lag at all when you raid the opposing fraction on Ultra settings. I just don't wanna lag at all in 25man raids you know? Can some of you who help this kid help me out with my own thread? I'm more detailed I think in my approach but your the experts so have fun!

Thanks,
Tenno

AS rock was spun-off from ASUS. Same quality of construction in lower-tier parts.

Probably based on the article World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm--Tom's Performance Guide which shows WoW prefering Intel CPUs and nVidia GPUs.
