Hi. I want to build my first pc using the following. It will be for gaming and general computing, with perhaps some very basic photo and video editing in the future. I am somewhat limited in budget (and lack assembly experience also!).

Please take a look at the list and make your comments but note the following:

1. I am going with the stock cpu cooler as I am not going to overclock. If you recommend that I should get an aftermarket cooler please recommend one.

2. I am not yet using a hd monitor but eventually hope to get one. if necessary i will add a 2nd video card but this may be overkill. so i opted for the 850w psu b/c on cyberpowerpc.com this is their recommendation for 2 hd 6950s, even though newegg.com recommends at least 950+w.

3. I am not sure if I need 4 extra case fans. the predator comes with 2 but I just went with an extra 4. also don't know how good these are....

4. Please help me select a ups for the system. I would probably plug in a monitor also.

I hope this all makes sense :? Here is the build:

Case: Xion Predator mid-tower

Case Fans: 4 x Rosewill RFX-120BL 120mm 2 Ball Bearing Blue LED Case Fan with Fan Controller

CPU: Intel i7-2600 Sandy Bridge (& stock cooling)

Mobo: ASUS P8P67 LE LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (when it becomes available again!!)

GPU: HIS H695F2G2M Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

PSU: Thermaltake Black Widow W0319RU 850W ATX 12V v2.3, EPS 12V v2.91 CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

Optical drive: HP 24X Multiformat DVD Writer Black SATA Model 1260i

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home

I am considering using the above mentioned hard drive for data and the following SSD as the operating drive:

SSD: Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive

I would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks

ds :)
