I'm trying to build a buisness oriented computer for my office I will be doing mostly photo and video editing and watching blu ray videos thinking about using the amd phenom 2 X6 1100T paired with a 560ti
is this a good idea or an inte i7 be a better choice I got 1200 dollars to spend on this build

looking for sugestions

thank you

i5-2500/2500K or i7-2600/2600K. The K versions are for overclocking. The i7 has hyperthreading.

Even a i5-2400 would be faster than 1100T and all of them use less power than 1100T.

i5-2400 on sale at newegg right now for $179.

Look at H67 mobo's, unless you want dual graphics cards then you'll need P67.

Personally the phenom is not worth recommending.Go for the i7 2600 that way you can get more work done. Most businesses i doubt overclock so you can either go for the i7 2600 or i5 2500.
The sandy bridge is a very good multimedia processor.

I believe the 1090T and 2500k are the best value processors. New AMD processors will be released next month though, so I would wait a tiny bit longer if I were you.
