Hello,
Just replaced power supply.
System was working though some fans would remain on even after power down.
Now on boot, we get two quick beeps followed by 6 regular beeps.
According to AMI BIOS error beeps, this means we have fried the keyboard gate somehow!?
Does that sound right?
(No video, no nothing on boot... just two quick then 6 regular beeps and nothing....)
Confused.

Solution
Nothing should be running after your system powers down; no fans, nothing. That, and the error beeps, indicates to me a total mis-wiring of the board or a failed board. Have you tried breadboarding it?
Just connect the CPU/HSF, memory, and video-to-monitor. Try to boot to BIOS.

Thanks for responding.
We ended up just switching out the whole mother board/CPU/memory combo and then of course it all worked.
We have had a couple of these boards go out but to be honest, they are like 6 years old and have done the rounds.
Probably just coincidence a couple of them went out at the same time.

Thanks so much for your advice and input and thanks to this forum.

Cheers.
